On 911 call, Georgia police chief says his gun accidentally went off, shot his wife in the back

A Georgia police chief told a 911 dispatcher he accidentally shot his wife in the back late Thursday morning when he was moving a gun from their bed and it discharged.“Gun was in the bed. I went to move it to the side and it went off,” Peachtree City Police Chief William McCollom says on the call, which was released by authorities Friday.
